My Life & Work
I'm a midwest farm kid at heart. That's where I grew to love the outdoors - hunting and fishing with my dad, brother and other friends and family. I graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, IL with degrees in Graphic Design and Multimedia and spent several years in the magazine industry before launching out on my own. I now live in the mountains of Boone, NC with my wife, Kim, and black lab, Georgia. Weekdays I spend my time creating illustrations for clients and cranking up Pandora.
I'm a diehard bowhunter and will always cherish the midwest rut, but turkeys are my favorite to hunt. They're challenging, frustrating and easy - it all depends on the day. I'm also a wildlife artist. My days afield are the primary source of inspiration for my paintings but also fuel the knowledge base it takes to pull off clear and effective illustrations.
